About the Project
The City of Ottawa’s logo design and branding strategy is one of my career highlights. Guiding an organization of over 17,000 employees through the implementation process was a big challenge, but the scale was equaled by the reward of seeing the uptake of the brand and how it spread with enthusiasm across the city.
Hundreds of products were rolled out as part of the brand system from vehicles to street signs, stationery to uniforms, and beyond. The project extended to developing identities and official insignia for emergency medical services, bylaw enforcement, and fire services.
